Changing Seasons

The chill in the air

Rattles my bones

Soaks in my skin

I wait for the wind

To carry me away

To drift through the air

Above the clouds

And through the sky

Hoping it will bring me down Alive

After the chill has passed

After my heart stops being attacked

The chill that was once in the air

Has faded away

Now all that remains

Is’s a faint memory

A feeling of the past

As if it were a fever dream

But the chill is forever imprinted on my body

The chill in the air may subside

But it will always remain in my mind

And the goose bumps remain forever tattooed on my skin
